Hardline IcePad Foam is available in two distinct options—Pura (white), previously known as Recreational Foam, and Maxim (beige)—giving curlers the flexibility to choose the performance level best suited to their game.
The Pura Foam is a high-quality PU foam designed for both recreational and competitive play. Pura Foam is a World Curling approved foam. For competitive play, it should be paired with a Maxim Competitive Sleeve and a standard IcePad base (without a plastic insert), making it an excellent choice for curlers competing under World Curling regulations. For recreational or club play, Pura Foam can also be paired with a Recreational Pro Sleeve, plastic insert, and standard IcePad base to create a durable and structured sweeping setup.
The Maxim Foam delivers unmatched sweeping power and is deemed too effective for professional play, meaning it is not World Curling approved. However, it remains an excellent choice for recreational curlers seeking maximum sweeping performance. For recreational use, Maxim Foam must be paired with a Maxim Sleeve, plastic insert, and standard IcePad base.
Both foam options are lightweight, durable, and compatible with all Hardline IcePad head components, allowing curlers to build a setup tailored to their level of play. For a fully World Curling approved configuration, pair the Pura Foam with a Maxim Competitive Sleeve and standard IcePad base (without a plastic insert).
