☑️ Check your gripper
One of the most common curling maintenance needs year over year is your gripper. When should you replace your curling gripper?
If you notice flakes on the ice, it's time for a change. If you notice flat or dull spots, time for a change. Grippers, like the tires on your car, wear out over time.
Using worn equipment can lead to poor performance, increase your chance of a fall, or leave your ice makers with extra work to clean the debris off the ice. And that's not nice!

☑️ Protect your noggin
It's not a fun story, but our friends at Goldline have an annual anecdote:
Every year, their stores see sudden spikes in orders for head protection. And that inevitably means that an area curling club had a member take a severe fall.
More and more curlers are asking whether regular head protection is the prudent (and warm) choice on the ice. Thankfully, we have good looking options if you decide to add a layer of head and hand protection this season. 💛

☑️ Boost your bonspiels
Now on to the fun things — bonspiels!
If you've got a long slate of spiels lined up this season, I recommend checking out the End Game Curling Travel Handle. It's a very clever three-piece broom handle that's build to accept a wide range of other brands broom heads.
Meaning: you get to use your existing broom head, and only have to haul a carry-on compatible travel handle! It even comes with its own travel bag. Pretty neat!
You'll never have the hassle of visiting the oversized baggage drop-off ever again.
